Conflict
Mediation
Goal
To resolve conflicts
between two or more people, so that barriers can be removed and constructive
actions are again possible. The parties of the conflict are supported in working
towards an independent solution which takes into account the interests of all
parties.
Examples of Use
Conflicts between two
colleagues, mobbing, group building and conflicts in an entire team, tensions in
a project team, conflicts between managers and employees...
Contents
The neutral
“all-party-oriented“ mediator makes it possible for all parties to, not only
have their say, but also to be heard and understood. He makes sure that
beneficial communication rules are maintained and that the discussion is carried
out in a structured, goal-oriented manner. He moves the concentration of the
conflict parties away from looking for a “guilty party” using circular
processes, in which the behavior of one is affected by the behavior of the other.
He sets the view of the parties on the future, widens their view to look for
possible solutions and helps them to come to an agreement.
Results
The results may be that a
stable foundation for a working relationship can be (re-) established. The
conflict clarification may also mean that another option, e.g. separation, is
aimed for and applied.
